Welcome to By Alessandra!

By placing an order, visiting our website, or engaging with our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Our intention is to create a transparent, respectful, and seamless experience for every client.

1. Orders & Booking

All custom cake and dessert orders require a minimum notice period (typically 2–4 weeks, depending on design complexity and availability).
A non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking — your date is not secured until the deposit has been received.
The remaining balance is due by the date specified on your invoice.

We recommend booking early to ensure availability for your special occasion.

2. Payments

Payments may be made via e-transfer, email will be provided upon order confirmation.
All prices are quoted in CAD and subject to applicable taxes.
Once payment has been received, you will receive a confirmation email outlining your order details.

3. Cancellation Policy

Because every creation is handcrafted and made-to-order, all deposits are non-refundable.

If you need to cancel your order:

Cancellations made more than 14 days before your event date may be eligible for a store credit toward a future order, at the discretion of By Alessandra.
Cancellations made within 14 days of your event date are non-refundable and non-transferable, as materials, design time, and production have already been allocated.
In the unlikely event that By Alessandra must cancel your order due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., emergency, illness, or events beyond our control), all payments will be fully refunded or credited toward a future date.

Minor design adjustments may be accommodated up to 5 days before your pickup or delivery date, depending on availability.

4. Allergies & Dietary Restrictions

Our products are made in a kitchen that handles gluten, dairy, nuts, and other allergens.
While we do our best to accommodate dietary requests, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
*Please notify us of any allergies when placing your order.*

5. Pickups & Deliveries

Pickup and delivery times are scheduled in advance to ensure your order is handled with care.
Once an order has left our premises, By Alessandra is not responsible for any damage that may occur during transport, setup, or handling.
We recommend transporting cakes on a flat surface in a cool, air-conditioned vehicle.

6. Artistic Design & Creative Rights

Each creation is a reflection of Alessandra’s artistic style and craftsmanship.
While inspiration photos are welcome, exact replication is not guaranteed.
We reserve the right to make subtle design adjustments to enhance aesthetics or structural integrity.

7. Photography & Social Media

We reserve the right to photograph and share our work across social media and our website for portfolio purposes.
If you prefer that your order not be shared publicly, please inform us at the time of booking.

8. Refunds & Quality Assurance

We take great pride in the quality and presentation of our work.
If you encounter an issue, please contact us within 24 hours of pickup or delivery with photos and details so we can review and assist appropriately.
Refunds or replacements are considered on a case-by-case basis.

9. Copyright

All images, designs, and content on this website and By Alessandra's Instagram page are the property of By Alessandra and may not be copied, shared, or reproduced without written consent.

10. Agreement

By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
